Contemplative Practice

Maggie Munday builds interspiritual community through facilitating contemplative practices. She facilitates programs that center mindfulness, compassion, creative reflection, and connection with the natural world, inviting participants to be present with the fullness of their experience.

I support holistic student wellness and create opportunities for meaning-making on campus through my work as Northwestern's Student Program Coordinator of Mindfulness & Spiritual Wellness Initiatives.

  • Regularly facilitated spiritual engagement programs include: meditation, loving kindness practices, mindful movement, haiku writing, contemplative found poetry, and interrelational mindful listening 

  • ​Notable projects have included: the Among the Trees Sit Spot Group, a collective committing to an outdoor mindfulness practice, Mayditation, a monthlong meditation invitation, the Evanston Justice Pilgrimage, a guided walk to reflect on legacies of racial discrimination, and the Salon, a student/staff/faculty collective to consider contemplative practices in higher education
